Frequently Asked Questions

What is Eurosim travel and how does it work?

Eurosim travel is an international SIM and eSIM service for travelers. It provides a single number and a single card that works in dozens of countries worldwide, with usage charged according to transparent rates and no contracts or monthly fees.

In which countries does Eurosim travel work?

The Eurosim travel SIM card works in more than 170 countries. The up-to-date list of countries and rates is always available in the Coverage area section and in the rate calculator on the main page.

How are incoming and outgoing calls charged?

Both incoming and outgoing calls are charged. Any incoming call, at any time of day and regardless of the country from which it is made, is charged according to the incoming call rate of the country of stay. In more than 130 countries incoming calls are not charged (free of charge).

The cost of an outgoing call from the country of stay does not depend on the call destination: whether it is a local call within the country of stay or a call to any other country in the world, it is charged according to the outgoing call rate of that country.

Calls between Eurosim travel numbers (even when subscribers are in different countries) are charged at a preferential rate.

How can the amount spent in the current month be checked?

To obtain information about the amount spent in the current month, it is necessary to dial 908 on the phone (if the device does not support direct dialing, then *146*908#) and press the «Call» key. After that, an SMS message with information about the total expenses will be received.

The month is considered a calendar month (from the 1st to the last day of the month).

When does call charging start?

Charging starts from the moment the connection is established, that is, when the called subscriber answers the call.

How is Eurosim travel different from my operator’s standard roaming?

National mobile operators usually charge increased rates for roaming, and the conditions vary from country to country. Eurosim travel offers a unified approach: one SIM/eSIM for many countries, detailed pricing for each country on the website, and no hidden subscriptions or contractual obligations.

How can I order a Eurosim travel SIM or eSIM?

An order can be placed in the Order a card section: select the format (physical SIM or eSIM), choose the desired package and enter the details for delivery or activation. After payment, a card or a QR code with installation instructions will be provided.

Is it necessary to activate the card before the trip?

Additional activation is usually not required; it is sufficient to insert the SIM card into the phone or install the eSIM according to the instructions and enable mobile data/roaming. It is recommended to check the device settings in advance and select automatic network selection so that the card connects to the best local operator.

How can the balance be topped up and where can expenses be viewed?

The balance can be topped up online in the Top up card section using a bank card via a secure payment gateway. Service management and detailed usage information are available in the personal account: Log in to My Account.

Are there any subscription fees or hidden charges?

No. Eurosim travel has no contracts, mandatory monthly payments or paid subscriptions. Only actually used services are charged according to the rates indicated on the website, and expenses can be monitored in the personal account.

How long is the SIM card valid and what happens to the balance after the trip?

The Eurosim travel card is reusable and is not tied to a single trip — it can be used again on future journeys. The balance is preserved and can be topped up at any time when preparing for a new trip.

Can Eurosim travel be used together with the home SIM card?

Yes, most modern smartphones support two SIM cards or a SIM + eSIM combination. The home number can be kept for receiving important SMS while Eurosim travel is used for cost-effective calls and mobile internet abroad.

How can rates for calls and internet in a specific country be checked?

On the main page, use the Check rates widget: select the country you are calling from and the country you are calling to. The system will show the cost of outgoing and incoming calls, SMS and mobile internet.

How can internet and messengers be used while traveling?

After installing the SIM or eSIM, mobile data must be enabled in the phone settings. The internet will work just like at home: messengers, social networks, maps and other apps can be used. Charging is based on the volume of data according to the selected tariff.

What should be done if the phone or SIM card is lost?

The support team should be contacted as soon as possible via the form Write to us or using the contact details indicated on the website. The SIM card can be blocked and further steps for restoring the number and balance will be advised.

Why is it sometimes not possible to make an outgoing call after activating the Eurosim travel card?

On smartphones, separate activation of the Eurosim travel SIM card may be required. To do this, go to: Menu > SIM Menu > Settings > Activate Service and in the «Enter service code» field enter the code 1221 and press «Ok».

Re-entering the 1221 code returns the Eurosim travel SIM card to standard mobile phone mode.

How can the SIM card balance be checked?

To check the balance, open the SIM Menu on the mobile device and select the Check Balance option. The current balance will be displayed on the phone screen. Balance checks are free of charge.
